We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Brand Integrity and Quality Assurance to join our team as an independent contractor. This role is critical in establishing and maintaining the highest standards for our products.
Position Overview:
The Director of Brand Integrity and Quality Assurance will provide consulting services to develop and refine Greyson’s Quality Assurance (QA) standards and requirements. This role involves comprehensive research, analysis, and the creation of a detailed QA manual. The contractor will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance and improve quality processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth research on industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Analyze existing QA manual drafts for improvements, focusing on performance, safety, and chemical compliance.
Manual Creation:
- Develop protocols, standards, and requirements for chemical compliance, safety, testing, audits, and inspections.
- Ensure the manual includes product specifications, regulatory compliance, and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to review and refine the QA manual.
- Validate the manual against industry standards to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Finalize the QA manual, incorporating feedback and revisions.
- Deliver the manual in digital and hard copy formats.
- Provide training sessions to key personnel on the implementation and use of the QA manual.
Current Risk Management:
- Address urgent quality risks or issues in partnership with the Greyson team and external vendors.
Recommendations for Future Scope of Work:
- Provide recommendations for future product integrity and QA processes, including risk assessment, factory inspections, and global labeling compliance.
Position Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in quality assurance or brand integrity within the apparel and lifestyle sector.
- Previous applicable director-level experience is required.
- Expertise in developing QA standards, conducting inspections and audits, and creating compliance manuals.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Additional Information:
- This is a remote role with flexibility for up to two on-site trips to Detroit, MI during the contract period as mutually agreed upon.
- Greyson will cover travel, transportation, lodging, and meal expenses for on-site work.
