Shop Foreman
Job SummaryPrimary job duties will consist of overseeing the material and supply inventories, ensuring the supplies are readily available when requested in the field, etc.This position will report directly to the District Manager.Essential Functions:• Help out in the shop and yard performing routine housekeeping• Upkeep of shop inventories• Generate requisition for field and shop supplies and spares• Place the order and receive all deliveries through the guidance and approval of the District Manager• Participate when requested in all shop audits• Assist in the equipment inventory, including units, cranes, trailers, pickups, etc.• Continually requesting vendor quotes for supplies and ensuring we are getting the best pricing• Maintain repairs and daily PM of shop Forklifts• Maintain setting tool periodic inspection with an approved provider• Assist in Field hotshots and keeping local Management involved• Assist when needed in the maintenance of PCE, Rig up equipment and cable service records, and provide a status report to Management every month• May be involved in the monthly inventory and cost of supplies/spares in regards to the M & S supply room• Provide any additional information to Management, when requestedKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics• High school degree or equivalent and three years related experience• Basic knowledge of administration and management practices• Must be able to plan, allocate resources, and coordinate people and equipment• Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in cased hole perforating services• Strong coordination, time management, active listening, oral and written expression, and comprehension, critical thinking, and reasoning skills• Ability to exercise sound judgment when carrying out duties and to maintain good working relationships with the public and fellow employees• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed and uninvolved written or oral instructions• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations• Strong mathematical skills and the ability to remember words, numbers, and other information• Must be able to read, understand and apply information obtained from job specifications• Advanced mechanical skills plus knowledge in MS Excel and Word is preferred• Able to work in a team environmentWork EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to hand tools.
The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
