FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Internship
We are seeking an analytical and strategic thinker to join our team as an FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Intern. How you will make an impact:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Support the FP&A team with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Help with the consolidation of financial data for executive-level decision-making
- Collaborate on the development of financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
- Participate in the annual budgeting process, including data collection and entry
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as requested by the FP&A team or senior management
- Assist with the improvement of automation of financial reporting and forecasting tools
- Participate in the analysis of financial results, including identifying trends and investigating variances
- Support the FP&A team with the preparation of presentations for board meetings, investor meetings, and internal reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and ensure accuracy of data
- Help ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and laws
- Participate in special projects related to financial planning and analysis as needed
- Facilitate data validation and cleanup to ensure data integrity in financial systems
- Learn and utilize financial systems and tools such as ERP, BI, and Excel for analysis and reporting
- Assist in the preparation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor business performance.
What you need to succeed:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment or recent graduate of an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)
- Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly motivated and eager to take on responsibility and learn new skills
