SMX is seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Senior Network Engineer to support ACIC at Fort Meade, MD. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and the ability to manage and maintain complex network infrastructures. This position requires a TS/SCI clearance and the willingness to undergo a CI Polygraph.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced network issues.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network solutions with other systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and changes.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior network engineers.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and procedures.
Required Skills, Experience & Education
- 30% overseas travel required
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of routing, switching, and network security.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, and other network devices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to submit to a CI Polygraph.
- Certifications CCNP, Security+ce, or equivalent.
