Maintenance Technician
Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. Our ideal candidate will have experience in a plant or warehouse environment and have great communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Possess maintenance skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and hydraulic.
- Possess the ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose the cause of problems, then determine proper course of action. I.e. repair or replace, or make required adjustments, then test your work.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities at the prescribed intervals.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report them to your proper supervisor.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Utilize app-based maintenance program to schedule, track, and record maintenance tasks, PM's and maintenance hours.
- Possess the ability to use a company computer or laptop and company email.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year in maintenance and mechanical experience preferred.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Able to work well with minimal supervision.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures.
Physical Demands:
- Moderate physical effort which requires standing on a concrete floor for prolonged periods of time.
- Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Good hand/eye coordination and visual acuity.
Work Environment:
- This position is in an unairconditioned warehouse environment.
- Subject to loud noise.
