PPT Solutions is seeking an experienced
Directed Energy (DE) Systems Engineer. In this role, the DE Systems Engineer will analyze program and product data and provide subject matter expertise recommendations to the Government to help the product through its acquisition, development and production lifecycles. Responsibilities and Duties for the Directed Energy (DE) Systems Engineer:
- Provide technical recommendations for the development and application of new technologies
- Support the integration of complex DE hardware and software systems
- Provide expertise and recommendations to support DE testing and Live Fire events
- Review system and software requirements documentation to ensure clarity, completeness, correctness, testability and traceability to system requirements.
- Provide analyses relevant to the development, integration, and testing of emulators for a variety of DE systems.
- Provide analyses and support the planning, execution and reporting of all DE testing and demonstrations.
- Participate, analyze and develop recommendations related to all DE reviews and technical interchange meetings, to include Preliminary Design Reviews and Critical Design Reviews for system and software components.
- Participate in technical interchanges with all program stakeholders and executive leadership by conducting briefings on results of DE technical analyses.
- Support the analyses of all technical data packages and generate input to program risk assessments.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for the Directed Energy (DE) Systems Engineer:
- Master’s degree in relevant field of Math, Science or Engineering
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience with systems and/or software engineering
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with DE systems
- U.S. Citizenship
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for the Directed Energy (DE) Systems Engineer:
- Experience working in an exciting, fast-paced program office environment
- Experience supporting offices responsible for rapidly fielding critical capabilities
- Strong written and oral communications skills
