Summary: 


The Trainer specializing in Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) for Mental Health will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs focused on evidence-based therapeutic approaches. This role is critical in ensuring that mental health professionals within the organization are equipped with the latest, most effective strategies and interventions to support clients. The Trainer will also assess training needs, evaluate program effectiveness, and stay up to date with advancements in mental health practices

.


Responsibilities: 


     1. Training Program Development and Delivery: 

  • Design and deliver training programs focused on Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) for mental health professionals, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed Care. 
  • Customize training content to meet the specific needs of different departments or teams, ensuring relevance and applicability to real-world clinical settings. 
  • Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions, using a variety of instructional techniques and formats (e.g., workshops, webinars, e-learning modules). 

  • Needs Assessment and Evaluation: 
    • Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements among mental health professionals. 
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, making data-driven adjustments to improve outcomes. 
    • Stay current with advancements in mental health EBPs, integrating the latest research and best practices into training content. 

         3. Resource Development: 

    • Develop and maintain a library of training materials, resources, and tools that support the implementation of EBPs. 
    • Create job aids, manuals, and other supportive documents to reinforce learning and provide ongoing support to trainees. 

           4. Collaboration and Support: 

    • Work closely with clinical leadership and other departments to ensure training aligns with organizational goals and clinical standards. 
    • Provide consultation and support to staff members in the application of EBPs in their day-to-day work. 
    • Mentor and support less experienced trainers or team members in developing their facilitation and content development skills. 

          5.Compliance and Quality Assurance: 

    • Ensure all training programs meet regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. 
    • Regularly review and update training content to maintain compliance with mental health regulations and organizational policies. 

          6.Professional Development: 

    • Continuously pursue professional development opportunities to stay current in the field of mental health and adult learning. 
    • Participate in relevant conferences, workshops, and other educational opportunities to enhance expertise in EBPs.

    Candidate Requirements:


    • Master’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
    •  A Ph.D. or Psy.D. is preferred. 
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical mental health setting, with a strong focus on applying and teaching Evidence-Based Practices. 
    • Experience in training, teaching, or adult education, particularly in the mental health field. 
    • Licensed or certified in a mental health discipline (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Clinical Psychologist). 
    • Certification in one or more EBPs (e.g., CBT, DBT) is highly desirable. 

    Additional Skills:


    • Strong understanding of various Evidence-Based Practices for mental health treatment. 
    • Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills. 
    • Ability to create engaging, interactive training materials and deliver content in both in-person and virtual settings. 
    • Proficiency with e-learning platforms, online training tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. 
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

    Work Environment:


    • This role may require occasional travel to different sites for in-person training sessions. 
    • The Trainer may need to work flexible hours to accommodate different schedules for training sessions.
