Paid Media Internship


*Applications for this role will close on October 25th, 2024. Applicants required to graduate summer 2026 with a relevant undergraduate degree (including, but not limited to: Business, Marketing Analytics, Economics).*This role will be required to be in Charlotte, NC for 10-weeks over summer 2025, with housing assistance available if applicable.As an intern at Pillar4 Media, you’ll have the opportunity to get real-world, hands-on experience at one of the fastest growing digital media companies in the US.

In addition to learning new skills and working directly with subject matter experts in SEO, editorial, creative, paid media, customer experience and analytics, you’ll get to work on meaningful projects that make a difference for consumers seeking to improve their health and wellness.Pillar4’s mission is to to help people live healthier lives with access to trusted resources, in-depth product reviews, and supportive communities. What our team does


  • Drives results by analyzing and optimizing paid media accounts across a multitude of platforms
  • Manages the customer buying journey generated from all paid media channels and optimizes that traffic to drive profitable results.
  • Actively manages paid media execution in Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads, and more.
  • Owns and operates multiple business line P&Ls with daily and weekly performance reporting.
  • Works together with Frontend Development, Design, Backend Engineering, SEO, UXRP, and Content to gather and analyze data to grow the business.

The types of projects you will work on


  • Working on the Paid Media team, you will learn how to successfully navigate, execute, and use data to support daily decisions within Google Ads, MicrosoftAds, and Facebook Ads.
  • You will conduct data analysis at the keyword level, optimize automated bidding strategies, manage creative testing, and help drive profitable expansion.
  • You will successfully be certified across the various ad platforms (Google, Microsoft, Facebook).
  • You will own tests and help manage portions of paid media accounts that includes pulling data, launching optimizations, and executing tests.
  • You will become an expert with Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and SQL databases.
  • You will work closely with our UXRP team to launch tests for the volume that you actively manage.

By the end of the summer you will


  • Understand the intricacies of digital platforms, customer analytics, and how to execute optimizations and operate a digital business.
  • Be well-versed with leading platforms such as Google, Bing, Facebook and Instagram Ads.
  • You will become an expert with Microsoft Excel, WordPress CMS, and SQL databases.
  • Share test results on projects you manage with Senior leaders and receive feedback on the strategy and performance.
