Purpose
This position is responsible for quickly and accurately logging the information from each sample into the computer database.
- Level I: Operation of equipment and software requiring specialized knowledge of testing process is required
- Level II Sample Processing Technicians will support the department by performing any and all job functions necessary to complete the days’ received samples.
- Level III Sample Processing Technicians will support the department by performing any and all job functions necessary to complete the days’ received samples and are the primary data entry clerks for private label programs

Processes
- Sample Validation
- Scan samples whose data has been entered into the computer system for validation
- Apply lab number stickers to bottles
- Retrieve, sort and scan resolved samples
- Sample Disposal
- Identify samples with non-standard hold preferences and take to designated area
- Dispose expired samples in their respective reciprocals
- Quality Check
- Verify integrity of information entered by other Sample Processing employees
- Correct data entry errors identified through log checks or Customer Complaints
