Summary:
The Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial support to departmental management teams. Actively supports other FP&A team members on projects as needed or requested. Work as a contributing member of a highly functioning remote FP&A team.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or related concentration. With a Master’s in Business Administration preferred.
Experience:
- Required:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a financial analytic or accounting role, preferably with a healthcare, insurance, or laboratory or related company.
- Exceptional analytical skills to process large amounts of financial and statistical information.
- Computer skills to effectively use software to analyze financial information, identify trends, explain variances, develop forecasts and create models.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel building spreadsheets and utilizing complex formulas, pivot tables and graphs.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft PowerPoint updating and creating presentations that explain financial results.
- Ability to take initiative, engage staff, and create change.
- Excellent in time management - proven ability to work on and manage multiple projects within tight timelines and in a fast-paced growth environment.
- Must be self-motivated with strong work ethic, desire to learn, attention to detail, and have a dedication to quality.
- Adaptive, NetSuite, and Tableau experience, preferred.
- Must possess excellent written, presentation, and oral business communication skills.
- Adaptable to change in a rapidly growing company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with updating detailed monthly revenue forecasts with input from Sales teams.
- Update month end reporting packages including research of variances to budget or forecast.
- Analyze financial data and provide budget and forecasting support.
- Maintain and develop reporting and tools that assist the FP&A department.
- Prepare reports and projections based on financial and statistical data.
- Develops and maintains financial planning models around revenue, expense, and staffing.
- Partner with leadership in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts as needed.
- Develops standard or ad hoc financial analyses and KPI dashboards to provide operational insight to business and lab leadership.
- Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, be detailed, and result oriented.
- Support other ad hoc analysis, projects, or data request.
