POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a temporary/seasonal opportunity. Work in the day-to-day operations of soybean seed production, including but not limited to: conditioning, warehousing, shipping, and seed box wash. This position will help to develop understanding of the seed production business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with daily production operations including conditioning/bagging, shipping/receiving, and seed box wash/repair
- Work in plant & warehouse
- Warehousing and load building as necessary, including load checking for accuracy
- Assist in maintenance of field and plant equipment
- Assist in seed conditioning and treating operations
- Follow all safety & housekeeping procedures
- Operate forklift in warehouse.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork and documentation in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- No previous experience required.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors 60% of the time
- Ability to work in all conditions, wet, dry, cold, hot
- Ability to stand and walk on concrete for entire shift
- Must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR Requirements
