Position Overview
The Senior Manager, Finance, a fully remote position, reports to the Senior Director of Finance and plays a critical role in identifying, quantifying, leading and validating operating and strategic initiatives that contribute to the overall financial position of the organization. This individual will support the Senior Director of Finance, the Chief Financial and Growth Officer and other key stakeholders by leading reporting, financial modeling, process optimization, and the ongoing forecast process in support of the annual Budget, cash planning, and five-year equity model. This individual will have a proven track record in leveraging analytical insights to influence strategic initiatives and delivering business-critical reporting to business leadership.
The successful candidate will be adaptable and open to supporting immediate needs and requests of business leadership. This individual will have high level business acumen, sound financial and accounting expertise, and extensive business partnering experience, enabling them to identify process/controls gaps and recommend enhancements to process/controls to drive efficiencies and minimize financial risks.
Essential job functions:
- Be a leader across the organization championing sound analysis and financial insight, process improvements, and adequate controls to safeguard the company’s assets.
- Maintain ongoing financial forecasts, including risks & opportunities, as well as other financial & forecasting projects
- Establish and report on key financial & operating metrics. Proactively create new metrics and vet calculations to provide insightful financial analysis to support company-wide strategic and operational initiatives
- Build knowledge and partners with key stakeholders to drive process optimization (role clarity and business controls) and better forecasting in the following areas: sales lifts during promotional periods, gross profit improvements, sales returns and claims management, manufacturer and supplier incentive programs analysis, cash management and planning, shipping expense forecasting, etc.
- Develop high level and detailed understanding of business/financial processes for high risk areas; conduct audits, identify risks, and recommend/implement controls and process improvements as needed
- Develop and maintain integrated revenue, margin and expense analysis, projections, reports, and presentations. Model impact on cash in addition to the P&L
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual results providing detailed revenue, margin and expense analyses that draw relevant and meaningful conclusions
- Create regular presentations including financial analysis and commentary in Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Google Slides presentations
- Develop, maintain, and provide sensitivity analysis for direct and indirect cash flow models, in partnership with key stakeholders
- Partner with the enterprise on finance topics and issues, including supply chain and strategic partnerships
- Partner with business teams on assessing inventory management and sales/margin results

Qualifications
Minimum Job Requirements
- 8-10 years of finance , FP&A, accounting experience, preferably in a fast paced, high growth, company or established highly matrixed organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. MBA, CPA or other advanced degree/certification is a plus
- Solid understanding of Financial Statements including Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements. Working knowledge of basic accounting principles & US GAAP.
- Sufficient experience in partnering with business teams to provide stakeholder decision support and minimize the Company’s risks in key business processes
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint / Google Sheets and Slides
- Can effectively manipulate and analyze large amounts of data, vet its accuracy, and deliver actionable insight to non-finance partners
- Proficient use of data aggregation and visualization tools such as Power BI, Sigma, OneStream, Metabase, etc. SQL experience is a plus
- Experience with financial reporting and consolidation systems such as Sage InTacct is a plus
- Experience in supporting supply chain, sourcing, and transportation teams is a plus
- Experience in managing a team of finance professionals

Working Conditions and Physical Effort
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Talking through the computer for many meetings and one-to-one conversations
- Continuous viewing of a computer monitor and data entry.
- Travel as necessary (<10%).
