Who We Want:
We want a Servicing Financial Specialist who supports all interim mortgage loan servicing accountabilities within Finance such as responding to internal and external mortgage loan inquiries, payment processing, service transfer processes, escrow and loan account reconciliations, as well as Investor purchase reconciliations.
Essential Duties:
- This position requires a hybrid schedule with 2 days in-office at our Corporate Scottsdale, AZ location
- Responsible for responding to written and phone inquiries from customers and employees regarding loan payments, Loan Payment Letters, Service Loan Transfers, Investor purchases, and general information (low volume)
- Processes mortgage loan payments when received (checks, wires, ACH)
- Completes system data entries for borrower payments efficiently with attention to detail and relative to Investor posting and special processing rules
- Researches and problem solves payment discrepancies
- Processes other loan level transactions requested (escrow, special deposits, etc.)
- Completes daily and monthly escrow and loan account reconciliations
- Assists in the reconciliation of Investor purchase transactions
- Assists in interim servicing transfers and Investor accounting/reporting requirements
- Generates all mortgage Loan Transfer and Next Payment Letters
- Assists in warehouse line processing and reconciliations
- Participates in team and project meetings to support or improve process
- Participates in Homeowners internal meetings and required trainings
- Maintains a professional image and demonstrates an understanding of and follows all Homeowners Policies and Procedures
- Other duties as assigned
RequirementsQualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of mortgage loan servicing experience required
- Encompass LOS experience preferred
- Proficient PC skills to include Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills to internal and external customers
- Ability to develop positive relationships
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to implement written procedures
- Independent, self-starting, team player with a positive attitude
Working Conditions:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This job may require handling objects up to 10 pounds frequently and 20 pounds occasionally. While performing the duties described herein, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel in addition to talking and hearing. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
