Technical Architect

WHO YOU ARE:
Technical Architect plays a key role in the design, development of Zinnia software platforms. Works with stakeholders to develop solutions and/or products that fulfill the needs of Zinnia’s internal stakeholders and clients. Those solutions and/or products help Zinnia and Zinnia clients to be more efficient and provide better service to end customers. Technical Architect interacts directly with project managers, product managers and business stakeholders and may periodically interact directly with Zinnia’s clients.
Will facilitate, Architect, and enable junior team members by acting as a mentor for soft skills and/or technical subject matter experts.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Ability to set the architectural dimensions & direction for a project.
- Should be able to conceptualize, define and build Solution architecture, provide technical support and guide development teams.
- Self-motivated, pro-active, initiative to learn and show high levels of creativity and innovation to evangelize new ideas.
- Should possess excellent problem-solving capability and ability to approach problems in a thoughtful and practical manner.
- Assists with design of architectural patterns , design of interfaces , design of Web services
- Demonstrates traceability between design & requirements.
- Modeling - business process, logical & physical (data)
- Prepare architectural & design docs and presentations.
- Participate in designing frameworks.
- Review technical artifacts.
- Sets standards and best practices in design & development for project team
- Identify technical risks and mitigate them
Ensures performance considerations are part of design and implementation.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- 8-10 years of experience Java, J2EE, Spring, DevOps, Docker, BPM, Business Intelligence, Apache Service Mix, JBoss, Apache Camel, Git, Maven, Agile / Scrum, in which at least 3+ years of experience hard core architectural experience.
- Architecting, designing, developing, and delivering tasks completed using JEE technologies utilizing Eclipse/NetBeans Application Development Suite, Mulesoft ESB (Anypoint Platform and Mule 3.8+), Active MQ and Java Web Services, Redis Cache. XML, DOJO, and J2EE EJB 1.x.
- Expert level ability on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) with XML,JSON data exchange formats, SOAP/Restful service architecture
- Expert level ability on J2EE technologies, RDBMS, data modeling, exposure to Application Servers, Designed and implemented distributed systems.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Effective troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work as part of a cross-functional, global team.
- Fluent client communication, Issue management, deployment, and delivery support;
- Understanding of DevOps support model.
- Team coordination, analytical skill, self-learning, Communication, Technical documentation, system analysis
- Should have completely architected at-least 2 to 3 product or project implementations working closely with clients
- Should have strong exposure to business rules implementations and strong insurance industry vertical exposure.
