馃挜 What will you do?
The Director of Finance at Merkle Science will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring financial stability, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role involves managing the finance team, driving financial planning and analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the technology and blockchain industry.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management:路Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.路Manage the preparation of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and regulatory requirements.路Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information and reporting.路Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability.Budgeting and Forecasting:路Lead the budgeting process and quarterly forecasting updates.路Monitor and analyze budget performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.路Provide detailed financial analysis and modeling to support strategic initiatives.Compliance and Strategic Planning:路Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and standards.路Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure financial governance.路Partner with the executive team to develop and execute long-term financial strategies.路Provide financial insights and recommendations to inform business decisions and strategies.Team Leadership and Stakeholder Communication路Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.路Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for finance staff.路Manage relationships with external auditors, investors, and financial institutions.路Present financial reports and insights to the executive team, board of directors, and investors.路Communicate financial performance and strategy to internal and external stakeholders.
馃憖聽 What are we looking for?
Education and Experience:路Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.路Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.路Proven experience in the technology or blockchain industry is highly desirable.Skills and Competencies:路Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and financial regulations.路Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.路Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems, Excel, and financial modeling.路Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.路Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
