Reporting to the Regional Director-Sales, the Account Executive is responsible for helping expand its sales organization. This position will focus on expanding Cofense's market share in the Northeast region.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for growing the company's customer base in the northeast region.
- Primary responsibilities will include conducting demos, meeting with prospects, and closing new business.
- You will support the company sales process using SalesForce.com/Clari to track leads and opportunities in order to develop an active sales pipeline.
- Marketing activities will include representing the company at trade shows and other events.
- Attention to detail, as well as an ability to communicate effectively to a wide target audience are critical to success.
- The position will require occasional domestic travel.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Expertise in managing sales opportunities from prospect to closure
- Ability to provide live and web-based demonstrations of the Cofense solutions without sales engineer support (though SE support is available as needed)
- Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills
- Capability to present technical information to a variety of audiences
- Demonstrated ability to forecast and manage information using SalesForce.com/Clari
- Extensive contacts in the information security/IT field
- Ability to manage multiple high priority tasks to successful completion
- Ability to work in a fast paced, geographically dispersed organization
- Ability to travel a minimum of 30%
Education and/or Experience:
- 4 Year Bachelor of Arts or Science degree preferred
- 5+ years successful experience in outside sales of information security services or products
