Position Summary
The role of the Banquet Server is to serve our banquet guests in a prompt and courteous manner while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency.Position SummaryOn callPay: 19.71/HrTo create 100% Guest Satisfaction by delivering food and beverage service to banquet guestsKey ResponsibilitiesCreates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the service brand behavior, genuine hospitality and by exceeding guest expectationsGives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest serviceListens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problemsAssumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction GuaranteePerforms other duties as required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitalityProvides food and beverage service to guests in the restaurantSets tables in accordance with Carlson Managed Hotels & Resort’s standardsPrepares order for presentation to guestServes food, coffee, water and other beverages; refills beverages as neededClears tables throughout the dining experience using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware and silverwareCleans banquet room and banquet kitchen area during and after banquet functionsCooperates closely with other servers to meet and exceed guests’ expectationsRequirements/SkillsTechnical Service Skills...

Demonstrate understanding of the technical service skills for assigned area (i.e. food & beverage service, housekeeping, etc.)Point of Sale… Skilled in utilization of point of sale systems and/or other back-of the house systems.Upselling… Know the available products and services and suggest alternatives.Requirement/SkillsExcellent customer service and verbal communication skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and anticipate customer demandsHighly organized – demonstrate ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manage resources and timePhysical DemandsAbility to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis, and up to 75 pounds occasionallyAbility to maneuver up to 150 pounds, occasionally, for short periods of timeAble to set up and take down tables, chairs, stages, and other banquet meeting fixturesAbility to push and pull carts weighing up to 200 pounds, occasionallyAbility to stand for extended periods of time, constantlyOther InformationThe hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
