Who We Are Looking For:


We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Buyer to be responsible for purchasing quality products for Thrive Causemetics. Your responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, tracking orders, creating and maintaining inventory, liaising with the inventory team. The Buyer will work with demand and supply planning to quantify our needs and make purchase decisions based on demand. The ideal candidate will be analytically minded and possess excellent negotiating skills to secure the best prices according to our budget. 

What Will Make You Stand Out:


  • Assist in sourcing, purchasing, developing and managing a variety of products across skincare and color categories.
  • Responsible for planning and purchasing all new launches and existing products with minimal supervision.
  • Oversee order placements and tracking to ensure timely receipt of finished goods at our warehouses and component delivery at our CMs.
  • Understand sales history and inventory levels to develop an optimal planning &  supply strategy
  • Ability to follow calendar and key deadlines with minimal supervision Partner with fellow Supply Chain Team, Operations, Project Management, PD and Marketing to ensure timely execution of purchasing activities.
  • Develop positive relationships with suppliers and proactively manage the planning of production schedules, open orders and leadtimes with suppliers to ensure on time deliveries and optimal inventory levels.
  • Drive timely resolutions to potential production disruptions both internally and externally, including raw material delays, PD approvals, AW releases, etc. Collaborate with Marketing to ensure any promotions, GWPs, and marketing campaigns are supported from an inventory perspective.
  • Maintain a clear and detailed understanding of inventory positions, commitments, and the impact on businessIdentify opportunities and risk through analyzing demand plans and sales performance.
  • Coordinate with Operations/Logistics team to manage, communicate and resolve shipping and receiving issues
  • Learn product lines to enable informed buying decisions.
  • Point person for supplier communication, sourcing, and performance management.
  • Ensure invoices are paid on time in adherence with agreed upon payment terms

What Will Make You Stand Out:


  • 3+ years of experience in buying for Beauty
  • Proven ability to develop and manage positive relationships with suppliers
  • Highly proficient in Netsuite, G-suite
  • Excellent negotiating and persuading skills
  • Diplomatic communication skills 
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, time management skills
  • A strong pulse on the Beauty industry and competitors
  • Ability to drive growth in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Comfortable speaking to Leadership Team and responding to requests
  • Technical and Computer savvy, willingness to learn ERP/MRP
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Requires minimal supervision and direction
  • Detail and accuracy-oriented
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable speaking to suppliers and meeting commitments
  • Anticipate needs of internal and external customers

Thrive Causemetics does not hire H-1B, F-1 CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT candidates for this role.The base pay range for this role is $66,000 - $75,000, with the following factors determining the base pay at offer: skills, qualifications, experience. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.

Additionally, this role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
