About the position
We are looking for a Regulatory Specialist with experience in the chemical industry to oversee and ensure compliance with various international regulations. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of TSCA, REACH, BPR, and other global chemical regulations. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to create and manage Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and product labels, including all required warnings.
Note:
This position is not hybrid and requires full-time onsite presence in our Houston or University Park, IL office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with ensuring compliance with TSCA, REACH, BPR, and other global chemical regulations.
- Develop and manage Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and product labels, ensuring all required warnings are included.
- Manage ECHA studies, TSCA PMN, and periodic filings as required.
- Handle TSCA Significant New Use Rules (SNUR), polymer exemptions, and FIFRA regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in chemical regulations and ensure the company’s products remain compliant.
- Provide regulatory guidance to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports and documentation.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and maintain professional relationships
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in regulatory affairs within the chemical industry.
- Knowledge of TSCA, REACH, BPR, and other global chemical regulations.
- Experience with ECHA studies, TSCA PMN, and periodic filings, preferred
- Familiarity with managing TSCA SNUR, polymer exemptions, and FIFRA regulations.
- Familiar with creating and managing SDSs and product labels.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
