PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful applicant will join ATR's Robotics Division, working as a team member at our corporate site, located in Beltsville, MD, and will participate as part of a multi-disciplinary research and development team that provides robotic and system solutions for our customers Monitors projects or specific set of tasks relative to a program. Provides for smooth day-to-day flow of communications within the team. Liaise with customers to gauge their needs. Prepare status reports and presentations as well as engineering reports.
Monitor project specific procurement process and oversight of customer equipment.Other duties include, but not limited to:
- Assist Program Manager in the execution of Navy programs involving LCS, MCM, and EOD
- Plan and conduct trials on US Navy, Surface Ships, Small crafts & unmanned systems including measurements and silencing
- Plans and conducts measurements of systems measured in laboratory and field sites
- Documents results and determines threat assessments
- The applicant will participate and contribute to the team in developing project plans, test, and analysis plans, and for writing and briefing research progress and results to upper management and sponsors
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Engineering or related experience
- 10+ years of project management or relevant experience
- Job experience with the Navy or other DoD laboratories is a plus
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
- Understanding of the project management principles assist projects in executing to cost, schedule, and performance requirements
- Experience with integrated master schedule development and tracking
- Experience developing integrated master schedule summary charts for inclusion in status briefs
- Experience with leading risk management to include documenting, tracking, and reporting risks
- Experience with authoring project management plans
- Experience with analysis report writing and weekly report writing
- Understanding of underwater electromagnetics
- Ability to perform engineering design, analysis and support test and evaluation
- Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel/pivot tables)
- Some minimal travel required
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. Current successful background investigation completion is a plus.Qualified Candidates should send their resume to [email protected]
