We are Converge HR Solutions, a Human Resources consulting and outsourcing firm based in the Philadelphia, PA area. We seek a part-time Recruiter or Sourcing Specialist for our Recruiting Process Outsourcing (RPO) practice to assist us with our clients’ recruiting needs. The Recruiting Consultant will support our RPO clients with the different aspects of full life-cycle recruiting.
About the role
The part-time recruiter will source and interview candidates for various open positions for our clients. Depending on the client, they may interact directly with hiring managers and company leadership on various recruiting and hiring-related topics and strategies. The ideal candidate will be people-oriented and flexible, with experience in the various facets of recruiting for companies and organizations. This will be a part-time position, with an average of 20 hours per week that may flex depending on demand and workload.
This role is locally remote but may require occasional on-site visits to clients in the Philadelphia area and company meetings.
Critical parts of the job
- Identify and attract candidates for open positions at our client companies using online tools like their or our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), online job boards, social media platforms, and good old-fashioned networking.
- Screen applicants and interview candidates for experience, skills, and cultural fit for client openings.
- Articulate position and client company needs to candidates interested in their open opportunities.
- Assist with scheduling and conducting interviews along with the Hiring Managers.
- Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the recruiting process.
- Consult with hiring managers about candidate fit, interviewing and hiring strategies to help increase offer acceptances by candidates.
This Position will be focused on:
- Being a hunter: You will be working directly with the team to fill open positions. Given today’s talent market, that will likely mean doing more than just posting positions. It will mean coming up with creative and innovative ways to find additional candidates for their open roles.
- Consulting with the client Hiring Managers: You will become their recruiting partner and work with them to ensure the managers have enough people to choose the right person for each role. You’ll also use your experience to help clients understand the recruiting process, providing them with information and insights into the screened candidates and how they might fit the roles the managers have open.
- Being a tour guide and negotiator: You will be the storyteller for the company and be the brand ambassador of our client companies. You will also be negotiating everything, including coordinating interviews between candidates and managers, occasionally keeping the process moving by the sheer force of your will.

Key Qualifications
- Two (2) or more years of experience as a Recruiter managing open requisitions and the recruiting life-cycle with the hiring managers. A mix of agency and corporate experience is ideal. Exceptional people with a mix of related experience will also be considered.
- A solid foundation in sourcing and recruiting people for various positions and experience levels and a working knowledge of recruiting through social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)
- Previous experience working with hiring managers and business leaders directly is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in a human resources, business, or communications-related field is preferred but not necessary.
The Nice to Haves
- A high level of computer proficiency and a working knowledge of one or more Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Human Resources systems (HRIS/HRMS), and Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- A genuine desire to learn, grow, make mistakes, and challenge the status quo in recruiting and hiring people.
