POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Data Analyst (Coding) has responsibility for data analytics, data provisioning, ad hoc analysis and assisting the quality team in identifying data-driven improvement and working with other departments and teams to develop patient safety and quality dashboards to demonstrate improvement in outcomes.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

- Advanced knowledge of data analytic tools and techniques required.
- Experience with Relevant™ Analytics tool and/or eClinicalWorks (eCW) preferred.
- Familiar with HRSA, HEDIS and General Population Health Analytics.
- Proficiency with database programming languages such as SQL.
- Proficiency with Scripting and MS Excel.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau or alike).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Establish and monitor user access and security.
- Monitor performance and manage parameters in order to provide fast responses to report request.
- Map out the conceptual design for a planned database.
- Commission and install new applications and customize existing applications in order to make them fit for purpose.
- Manage the security and disaster recovery aspects of a database.
- Manage complex query tuning and schema refinement.
- Demonstrated problem solving, data assembly and action planning ability leading to the development of actions plans that will prove helpful in achieving measurable objectives.
- Ability to organize, formulate, educate, and facilitate problem solving teams.
- Demonstrative ability to work without supervision towards a desired outcome.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office and Database management.
- T-SQL Programming Perform additional tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:
- Bachelor's degree in applicable area of study such as public health, health informatics or information technology. Master's Degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent, relevant professional experience in healthcare analytics.
- Experience with data querying languages, and statistical data analysis.
- Experience in handling ETL of large data into SQL Server.
- Experience authoring and modifying SQL Server Reporting Services reports.
- Experience performing SQL Server integration with enterprise applications.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending or working at a desk on a computer.
- The ability to lift (up to 15lbs) is required.
