Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and driven Intermediate Web Developer with a strong focus on WordPress development and a keen interest in AI technology. - Website Development & Maintenance: Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites. You will ensure websites are functional, responsive, and optimized for performance.
- Custom Theme & Plugin Customization: Modify and develop custom themes and plugins using HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript to meet specific client needs. Familiarity with WordPress hooks and filters is essential.
- AI & Automation Integration: Assist in implementing AI-driven tools and automation solutions in website development, such as chatbots, content recommendation engines, or AI-enhanced search functionalities. Stay informed about new AI integrations in web development.
- Website Optimization: Perform regular performance optimization, including caching strategies, database management, and code streamlining to ensure websites load efficiently and perform well across devices.
- Security Management: Implement and manage website security best practices, including SSL installation, malware scanning, and security plugin configuration. Proactively troubleshoot security issues.
- SEO & Content Writing: Optimize websites for SEO by managing site structure, improving mobile responsiveness, and utilizing tools like Google Analytics. Demonstrate the ability to write for a website, effectively using keywords, keyword phrases, and phraseology. Leverage AI tools to develop high-quality, optimized content for enhanced SEO and user engagement. Additionally, ensure fundamentals such as page structure, title tags, H1s, alt tags, and other key elements of website construction are properly implemented to improve overall site performance and visibility.
- Collaboration & Client Communication: Work closely with marketing and design teams to ensure websites align with brand guidelines and business goals. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver customized solutions.
- Continuous Learning & Growth: Stay updated on industry trends, particularly in AI and WordPress, by pursuing relevant certifications like Google Analytics, AI tools, or emerging AI certifications. Actively participate in learning opportunities and company-sponsored training programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proficiency in WordPress: Demonstrated experience with WordPress website development, including custom themes and plugins, content management, and troubleshooting.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP. Familiarity with MySQL databases and version control (Git).
- AI Awareness & Curiosity: Interest in AI technologies, particularly as they apply to web development. Experience with AI tools (such as chatbots or automation scripts) is a plus but not required.
- Responsive Design & Optimization: Experience ensuring websites are mobile-friendly and optimized for speed, including performance testing and debugging across multiple devices and browsers.
- SEO & Site Analytics: Familiarity with SEO principles, including page structure, title tags, H1s, alt tags, and the ability to write optimized web content. Experience with Google Analytics for tracking site performance and user engagement.
- Security & Maintenance: Knowledge of security best practices, including SSL, WordPress security plugins, and general website maintenance processes.
- Problem-Solving & Adaptability: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, with a willingness to experiment and explore new tools and solutions, especially related to AI and automation.
- Collaboration & Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Skills: While these skills are nice to have, we expect candidates to be actively working towards certifications such as Google Analytics, as part of their continuous growth and development in this role.
- Google Certifications: Google Analytics or other related certifications.
- AI Integration Experience: Any prior experience with AI tools (e.g., GPT models, AI-enhanced search, content automation) in website development.
- JavaScript Frameworks: Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
