FS Investments is seeking a mid-level attorney with three to five years of finance transactional experience to join its legal team in New York City. The candidate should have a broad range of finance experience in representing all categories of participants in a variety of public and private financing transactions.
The successful candidate is expected to:
- Assist with transactional work related to finance investments made by BDCs, CLOs, registered investment companies and private debt funds.
- Work directly with the credit desk and external counsel to structure and negotiate finance transactions, including reviewing, drafting, and analyzing complex credit documentation.
- Assist with ongoing work related to finance investments, including reviewing, and responding to amendments and consents.
Qualifications:
- JD required, with strong academic credentials; NY Bar.
- 3-5 years’ experience working at a large law firm or in-house.
- Knowledge of finance law issues and extensive deal management and closing experience.
- Seasoned judgment, strong work ethic and high ethical standards.
- Efficient self-starter with a proven interest in professional growth.
Salary Range: $195,000 - $240,000/yearActual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
