Human Resources Generalist, APAC
The HR Generalist will work side by side with the global HR team to provide local HR support to employees located in the Asia-Pacific region. This position will play key role in supporting various HR functions across multiple countries in APAC, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, fostering employee engagement, and implementing HR policies and initiatives that align with our company's values and objectives. This position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and reports to the Global Manager of Human Resources.
Primary Responsibilities
- Hiring and Onboarding: Provide talent acquisition and onboarding support to the APAC region in collaboration with the Global Talent Acquisition Specialist and local hiring teams.
- Talent Development: Collaborate with and support leadership in talent development efforts, including assisting with the creation of individualized talent development plans with professional development and training components.
- Corporate Culture and Employee Experience: Collaborate with HR peers and across all functions to promote a world class employee experience, and a positive corporate culture, aligned with EdgeConneX core values.
- Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and employee relations issues. Proactively identify and address employee relations trends or concerns to foster a positive work environment.
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. Manage employee documentation, including contracts and personnel files, in accordance with legal requirements. Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with inquiries related to benefits and HR policies in the APAC region. Respond to internal and external data requests, including for audits and immigration processes. Assist in the preparation of HR reports and presentations for executive review.
- HR Policy and Compliance: Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations across APAC countries, as well as company policies and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new employment regulations.
- Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience managing HRIS systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Commitment to organizational excellence and constant awareness to seek opportunities to improve processes/quality of deliverables.
- Superb ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/responsibilities.
- Strong and effective team player in working with various disciplines and peer groups; can cover all gamut of tasks required to ‘getting a job done.’
Experience/Education
- 7+ years of experience in Human Resources, including HR generalist function in the APAC region.
- Strong knowledge and experience in working in at least two APAC region countries.
- Candidates fluent in Mandarin and/or Bahasa Indonesia are strongly encouraged to apply.
