StarCompliance are seeking a driven, passionate, experienced Azure Cloud engineer to further our team's Support and Development Operations practice. You will work within the cloud infrastructure team and cross-functionally to identify areas of improvement through automation and champion best practices in the organization for operations and projects.
You will establish and continuously improve our configuration management, infrastructure automation, integration, and monitoring and train the team with best practices to achieve a stable, reliable, continuously deployable environment. To succeed in this role, you must have exceptional experience in Azure infrastructure (SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS) and solution architecture, provide compelling decision-making with clear and concise communication, enjoy working hands-on, and thrive in an ever-evolving landscape.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with operations, software engineering, and product teams to design and implement scalable, high-performance, secure solutions for our platform and internal management tools
- Drive automation improvement and efficiencies for all environments
- Ongoing improvement and refinement of monitoring and incident resolution
- Design, implement, and manage infrastructure, utilizing IaC best practices
- Provide tier-3 troubleshooting (including on-call) and break-fix support for production services; actively manage operations issues responding within targeted client SLA response times
- Efficiently troubleshoot issues of varying complexity promptly to provide support for internal service level objectives
- Facilitate continuous improvement by identifying process and efficiency improvement within our platform and operations
- Ensure all necessary operational processes and procedures are carried out with high attention to detail, expediency, and timely delivery
- Define and document standard runbooks and operating procedures. Create and maintain system information and architecture diagrams
- Monitor systems capacity, health indicators, and trends; provide analytics & forecasts for added or reduced capacity as required
- Collaborate with InfoSec to ensure security controls are met
- Researching new technologies, processes, and methodologies
Skills & Experience
- 3 to 5 years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, or a similar role working directly with Azure and Windows systems
- Advanced Azure IaC and CaC experience leveraging Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, and other techniques
- Working with Azure DevOps Services
- Direct and recent Azure experience deploying, configuring, optimizing, and troubleshooting PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS systems and services
- Infrastructure and APM monitoring
- Nginx Deployment, Configuration, and Optimization
Minimum Qualifications
- Two years of current Azure Operations experience
- Expertise with Terraform
- Advanced experience with Ansible Automation
- Linux experience
- Understanding of Windows server and services support and analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong preference for candidate to be within the East Coast
- SaaS
