Join the team at Honeybee Robotics as an Electrical Engineer III and help bring cutting-edge electronic Motion Control products and systems to life! You'll support the development of multi-board designs from concept through development and into manufacturing and test. If you have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer engineering and 4 years of relevant work experience, we'd love to hear from you.

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited technical college or university in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 4 or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with embedded system design, including:
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Digital, analog, and mixed signal design.
  • Board-level communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, CAN).
  • Linear and switch mode DC/DC power conversion.
  • Documentation (test procedures & reports, interface control documents, ECOs).
  • Experience in prototype development, debugging, and testing in a lab environment.
  • Familiarity with:
  • Design analysis and simulation (WCA/WCCA, reliability, radiation).
  • Cable and wire harness design.
  • Signal and power integrity (SI/PI).
  • Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
  • Controlled impedance for high-speed channel design (SpaceWire, 10GbE, SerDes).

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience designing motion control and electromechanical systems for space environments.
  • Experience with:
  • EEE-INST-002 and radiation-hardness/mitigation.
  • BLDC and stepper motion control.
  • Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Altium Designer.
  • Familiarity with:
  • Embedded-C DSP and microcontroller firmware development.
  • Verilog and VHDL FPGA design.
  • System and functional requirements generation.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Paid Time Off includes up to 3 weeks per year, paid sick leave, and 13 holidays.
