Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as
Technical Project Manager.
In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country. Our Technical Project Managers have excellent hands-on technical experience as well as leadership and management skills to plan and manage large scale technology projects and deep knowledge of the Microsoft Technology stack. This position requires the individual to serve as the point of contact and manager of the activities needed to establish a specific project with the intention of them working on multiple projects in time.
The candidate must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and effectively communicate complex technical matters to upper management and users of all levels. The individual must also be able to work well under pressure, multi-task, and prioritize items as needed.
Responsibilities
- Define project plans and timelines, define road maps, identify blockers and resolve problems to success completion of complex technical projects in a complex environment.
- Ensuring success of projects from inception through completion
- Execute Agile processes and methodology.
- Coach team members on Agile project management processes and best practices.
- Identify and provide solutions to mitigate constraints and risks in the development process.
- Facilitate senior leaders and cross functional teams to make decisions and achieve program objectives.
- Balance multiple projects, keep projects on track and under budget.
Skills Required
- Experience leading technical teams either for software development, operations, or engineering utilizing the scaled Agile framework.
- Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills to manage a diverse set of stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Experience working with the Microsoft technology Stack of products, and Microsoft Power Platform experience is preferred
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to present concepts to individuals and large groups.
- Previous experience presenting and or briefing at the C-suite and executive level
- A desire to solve problems, drive outcomes and ensure customer growth and project success.
- Knowledge of when to escalate issues and when and how to resolve them independently
- Innate curiosity to solve problems and create solutions
Essentials
- Education: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 10 years' experience leading large, complex projects and/or programs
- Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Clearance: Active Top-Secret Clearance is required
