The Hatcher Group seeks a strategic and persuasive writer to support our clients’ communication goals, particularly in web form. The candidate will help develop engaging content strategies to educate audiences in various areas including health, wellness, and financial readiness. As a Web Content Specialist, you must be able to craft key messages and execute a content strategy that will continue to evolve with new information, feedback, and updated client objectives. The selected candidate will also be expected to contribute positively to a team environment rooted in the firm’s core values, upholding our community guidelines.
At Hatcher, we proudly maintain a “flexible first” work culture. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance to our Bethesda office for weekly in-person collaboration. The target salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and internal equity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop engaging and compelling content strategies that align with clients’ brand guidelines, style guides, user needs, accessibility (508 compliance) and search engine optimization best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client objectives and target audiences.
Conduct content audits and gap analyses.
Review SME content from health, wellness, and financial readiness partners, resiliency applications, and childcare solution integrations to ensure it meets style guide and brand standards.
Create and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely delivery of content.
Optimize content strategy and content based on analytics and customer feedback.
Perform QA while doing content entry.
Contribute to internal content development, including client case studies, website copy, marketing products, proposals, etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of creative and/or strategic writing experience, preferably in a professional services or government setting.
Active Secret clearance is required.
Excellent writing skills and expertise in copyediting, and the ability to understand and communicate concepts in a compelling persuasive manner.
Understanding of the relationship between front-end design and back-end content management using CMS platforms like Adobe AEM is a plus
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Strong work ethic and ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
Ability to work directly with internal clients and manage projects in collaboration with others.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Experience working under pressure with deadlines is critical.
Ability to speak, read, and write English with proficiency.
