Creative Production Specialist

The Hatcher Group seeks a project coordinator to support production work within our design team. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a great attitude and motivation to enhance their knowledge of design processes and project management. The Production Specialist will support the Vice President, Integrated Production and Production Manager on all creative projects, print and digital, to ensure deliverables are produced and implemented efficiently and smoothly.  
The ideal candidate enjoys process management, making checklists, working with people, and has a superior ability to ensure quality execution of multiple tasks. Daily, they must excel at juggling various projects, work well under pressure, and aim to meet expectations under tight deadlines.  At Hatcher, we are proud to maintain a 'flexible first' work culture. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance to our Bethesda office for weekly in-person collaboration. The target salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and internal equity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 


  • Support the production of all creative deliverables (print, interactive, and web) by working with the Creative team members, clients, and vendors to plan, inform, track, and drive deadlines.  


  • Educate personnel on how much time is required to complete various kinds of jobs (e.g., large printed material, websites, environmental graphics, etc.) and all the steps necessary to process a job. 


  • Support the team through assigning work tickets and clearing blockers. 


  • Perform quality control on outgoing creative deliverables to ensure client satisfaction. 


  • Problem-solve issues with production and resolve those issues to the satisfaction of Hatcher and clients. 


  • Develop and facilitate improvements to the workflow and processes that tie together the creation and delivery of creative content. 


  • Support the design request process. 

Qualifications and Skills: 


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field  


  • A minimum 3 years of professional project management experience, preferably with creatives 


  • Well-versed in resource management, project management, implementation, and production (digital and print) 


  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Zoom 


  • Ideally, detailed knowledge of print processes and prepress 


  • Experience with any platforms to facilitate work e.g., Monday.com, Confluence, or Notion, etc. 


  • Have a general understanding of design language and formats  


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 


  • Attention to detail and management of logistics for multiple projects simultaneously 


  • Ability to take direction and work efficiently with a team 


  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
