Zirtual has partnered with a top Estate Planning firm to find the right 1099 remote paralegal for their office. Our paralegal will work alongside counsel and a collaborative and supportive legal team in all phases of our conservatorship, special needs planning, trust administration and estate planning matters. The paralegal is the main point of contact with their assigned client(s) and will work independently with the law firms. The paralegal will receive support from their assigned Account Supervisor, who will assist the paralegal & law firm relationship with plan modifications, questions, feedback on quality, delegation and collaboration best practices, and more.The paralegal will provide a high-level professional service by working on tasks and projects as assigned by the client, and ensuring they are executed on time and to the highest level of quality. The paralegal is responsible for being the main point of contact for their assigned client(s), and being familiar with each clients’ needs and preferences. The paralegal must have consistent and proactive communication with clients and the Account Supervisors.
Paralegals are expected to be available for clients during business hours as agreed upon with each client, but around-the-clock availability is not expected. Paralegals ensure time is entered on a daily basis using a provided tool, respond to all communication within a mutually established response time expectation tailored to each client’s needs, maintain detailed and up-to-date client profiles, and follow Zirtual's best practices for success.

- Remote Estate Planning paralegal - specializing in special needs trusts, conservatorships and estate administration
- Part-time, 140 hours per month
Responsibilities
- Opening new client files
- Prepare all Conservatorship forms and ready them for submission to the Probate Court
- Review accountings of Court supervised trusts and prepare petitions for their approval
- Manage required notices, filings, and obtain tentative rulings for Court matters.
- Heavy communication with clients, vendors, third parties and the Courts
- Understanding of multiple county probate court systems
- Assist in the preparation of estate planning documents including Deeds
- Assist in Trust Administration process
- Record and perfect time entries daily within the firm’s case management system
Requirements
- Possess a degree from an accredited paralegal program OR a bachelor’s
- 3+ years of experience working in Conservatorships
- Understanding of multiple county probate court systems
- Experience with Smokeball software
- Significant experience with office management systems and procedures, as well as with office equipment, such as printers and fax machines
- Extensive experience with billing and time recording
- Good practical experience with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat
- Strong time management and problem solving skills with the ability to prioritize work
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with close attention to detail
