As a Quality Engineer at FMX, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of quality by balancing hands-on testing with automation efforts. In this collaborative and dynamic environment, you’ll take ownership of test case design, documentation, automation, and execution, while working closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure the best possible experience for our end users.
You’ll be working closely with a small team of full-stack developers, along with a close-knit group of quality professionals. If you’re seeking a rewarding challenge where you can grow with the product and make a lasting impact, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborative Quality Mindset:Embed quality into every phase of the software development life cycle by working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure thorough testing coverage, from early requirements gathering through final delivery.
- Hands-On Testing: Perform end-to-end, acceptance, and exploratory testing to identify critical bugs and edge cases. Act as the last line of defense for catching issues before they affect customers.
- Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts to ensure efficient, repeatable testing across releases. Work on automating key regression and functional tests while maintaining a focus on the user experience.
- Test Case Ownership: Design, document, and execute detailed test cases and scenarios, ensuring robust test coverage across all features. Maintain and update test cases as features evolve.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Collaborate with developers to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve test failures, ensuring any defects are fully addressed before deployment.
- Continuous Improvement: Work with the QA Lead to advocate for quality by identifying areas for process improvement and efficiency gains in both manual and automated testing.
- Closing Loops: Apply learnings from escaped defects to improve test case design and testing process.
- Customer Advocate: Raise issues that impact customers before customers report them, and act as the voice of the customer, advocating on their behalf.

- Mobile Application
- Various other web client front ends

Requirements
Preferred Experience & Qualifications:What are we looking for in this role?
- 5+ years of experience working on a Scrum/Agile team
- 5+ years of experience in manual and automated testing for web-based applications.
- 3+ years working with automation tools like Playwright and developing scripts for both UI and API testing.
- Experience in a B2B SaaS environment
- A working understanding of the test pyramid
- A basic understanding of the different types of testing practices and when to apply them
- Experience with testing mobile applications is a plus

- Character interview: An hour conversation that consists of a series of questions to determine whether they possess the must have character qualities as well as what you’re looking for in your next role and what direction you see your career path taking. In the interview will be the hiring manager and the technical lead.
- Technical Interview: An hour conversation that consists of a deeper dive into your career background and technical skills. In the interview will be the hiring manager , technical lead and another QA teammate.

Compensation:
- We will offer a base salary with bonus potential tied to company performance. On target earnings for this position is expected to be $100,000-110,000.
