We are on the hunt for an experienced and innovative Development Manager to assist in the site acquisition and development team.
In this role, you will provide support and assistance in all operational aspects of the assigned project and team.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with relevant government bodies to clear the investment pathway for JOLT
- Identify, negotiate and develop new business opportunities
- Finalise Licence/ contract agreements
- Development team sign-off (Power and Development Application assessment)
- Leverage networks within the Charge Point Operator (CPO) industry to gain insights and drive regulative change that will create new commercial opportunities.
- Build relationships with relevant Government representatives and key stakeholders to garner support for JOLT initiatives.
- Facilitate relationships at a senior level with councils and key infrastructure businesses.
- Site identification and selection (including COMMB and key criteria)
- Lead the generation of new EV charging site opportunities across assigned region
- Private landlord engagement
- Assist in preparing, managing and submitting, EOI/tenders across all private business opportunities
- Negotiate the terms of licences, leases and master contracts with all landlords
- Align to the department budget, contributing as needed to project, and adhere to the set budget across the wider department.
- Monitor business performance driving profitability and growth, including reporting and performance analysis as required
- Aid team performance, developing skills and helping others as needed to improve team results
About you
- University Degree qualified in Business, Property, Law or other relevant field
- Urban Planning background is an asset
- Minimum 5-years work experience
- Strong commercial and business skills
- Understanding of Leases and Licences
- Ability to communicate with all levels of an organisation
- Strong presentation skills
- Proven negotiation skills
- Experience of working within the media business
- Knowledge of property and leasing
- Experience of managing and leading teams
- Legal training or proven experience dealing with contracts
