Full-time, ContractDescription GXM is looking to hire an Innovation Lead for innovation programs supporting our clients. This is a full-time exempt position that can be conducted remotely with travel to locations as needed to support activities as determined by the clients and GXM. The Innovation Lead would lead the innovation strategy by establishing delivery structures, support activities, staffing frameworks, and project management processes. Innovation program implementation may include technical and programmatic assistance, focusing on providing technical subject matter experts, and delivering system engineering, architecture, and functional support for challenge program implementation.
Objectives that may include but are not limited to:
Supporting Innovation Clients with Technical Subject Matter Expertise: - Provide expert support throughout and prior to challenge programs (development, research, and engagement coordination).
- Support innovation clients during challenge evaluation processes by providing experts and subject matter expertise.
- Provide mentors (technical and program) and experts for client innovators throughout challenge programs and support the search, identification, and screening of such resources.
- Provide logistical and administrative support during challenge evaluation processes (coordinate, support, and resource innovation clients for evaluation processes).
- Provide expertise, advice and recommendations concerning emerging and disruptive technologies for challenges.
- Conduct independent technical assessments of challenge program innovators to identify needs and provide tailored support throughout the challenge programs.
2. Supporting Innovators with Technical Subject Matter Expertise:
- Bridge the innovation process to foster partnerships between innovators and relevant client innovation locations/centers.
- Facilitate strategic and technical partnerships between and among selected innovators and affiliated innovation locations/centers to test, evaluate, experiment, and mature technologies through the innovation client's pipeline.
- Provide technical, administrative, and program management support on the engineering, architecture, and function of technology and systems used for Testing, Evaluation, Validation, and Verification activities.

U.S. Citizenship required
- Active Secret Clearance or above required
- Project management-program management experience in project planning, cost estimating, and quality management.
- Experience in writing standard project documents such as project mandates, project plans, highlight reports, lessons learned reports; good writing skills.
- Experience in technology development, innovation, or other related areas of STEM.
- Knowledge of current emerging technology topics.
- Understanding of transition obstacles for technology adoption.
- Experience with collaboration and negotiation involving experts from other disciplines, including other functions and military operational experts.
- Demonstrated experience and competence in stakeholder management and engagement at various levels-including with the military and civilian personnel.
- Experience in implementing programs and managing projects.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Experience working within mission-driven organizations and with defense end-users.
- Project management qualification e.g. PMP, CSPO, Agile/Scrum, APMQ, PRINCE II or similar certification/equivalent experience as a project manager.
