The Role


The

Business Development Representative (BDR)


is the front line of the sales process and spends the days prospecting through a variety of digital channels – social selling, email campaigns, videos, calls. In this role, you are responsible for maintaining high activity levels and for building and growing the business pipeline. Our BDRs are very customer-focused with good business insight. They must understand business needs quickly and be able to translate problems into solutions. This position requires both strategic and detailed thinking, strong initiative, and deep knowledge of how to leverage social and web media to influence business leaders and become their trusted advisors.

What You’ll Do


  • Develop and execute self-demand generation campaigns calendar in conjunction with Marketing and AEs.
  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and email
  • Present our company to potential clients
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Schedule meetings or calls between prospective clients and account executives
  • Generate and qualify leads via digital prospecting, social influence, email campaigns, videos, and calls
  • Pass-qualified opportunities to sales for sales stage execution
  • Regularly review lead/opportunity pipeline and progression  
  • Proactively give feedback to Marketing on campaign effectiveness and performance for continuous improvement 
  • Support follow-up on dormant accounts/leads and help to identify opportunities to re-engage
  • Document all the campaign execution and lead/opportunity management activities using HubSpot 
  • Keep CRM updated
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of products, services, and pricing/payment plans and assist customers with questions to suggest the best products for their needs. 
  • Researching and identifying growth opportunities.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive, or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Proven track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Familiarity with MS Excel 
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • BS degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or relevant field
  • Experience working with brand image and promoting value through customer experience
  • Exceptional ability to communicate and foster positive business relationships
  • Technical skills required, as they relate to the use of the product/service to be sold
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and listening skills
  • Upholds standards of excellence, accountability, and soaring quality
  • Capable of seeking out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships
