Schedule: Sunday- Thursday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Fridays and Saturdays off)
• Conducts laboratory assays in the Microarray department (whole genome amplification,fragmentation, precipitation, hybridization, and staining) using the Illumina microarrayplatform• Ensures that all assigned work is completed accurately and within turnaround time• Prepares and maintains reagent stocks• Monitors, documents, and maintains supply inventories within the department• Maintains records of performed laboratory procedures and sample tracking• Follows all laboratory protocols and policies, including quality control and quality systemactivities, and documents appropriately all records, deviations, and corrective actions asrequired• Operates and maintains liquid handlers, centrifuges, scanners, and other laboratoryequipment to ensure operation is within required parameters• Works with team to complete cleaning, maintenance, and organization tasks within thedepartment• Assists with troubleshooting issues with assays, equipment, or procedures• Assists with other laboratory production pipelines as neededRequirements• 4- year Bachelor degree or higher in a Biological Science or related field• Excellent laboratory technique, with high accuracy and precision, including pipettingskills, sterile technique, and ability to follow laboratory protocols without deviation• Ability to work efficiently and accurately with large amounts of samples and data• Must have meticulous organization skills and a high attention to detail• Computer literacy of Microsoft Word and Excel, and ability to navigate laboratory LIMSsystems• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in writing• Minimum of 1 year previous relevant laboratory experience, preferably with microarrayplatforms and/or general molecular genetics assays and techniques
