HR Business Partner
Our People Ops team plays a critical role in finding and growing world-class talent to achieve our mission and we need your help! As a HR Business Partner for our Philippines team, it is the responsibility of this role to uphold Kajabi’s mission and values while supporting initiatives for business units, leaders, and team members through a variety of Human Resources strategies, processes, and programs. To meet Kajabi’s increasingly complex needs, we’re looking for a leader who has exceptional business acumen, who builds trust and solves problems with clients at all levels.
This includes supporting our leaders and managers through scale, creating an environment where team members of all backgrounds can thrive, aligning our organizational strategy with our people strategy, and using data to develop best practices. The ideal candidate will bring creative and effective ideas and solutions to a growing organization. The role will need to primarily operate during Pacific Standard Time business hours and will report to our US based Director, HR Business Partners. Outside of monthly office visits, this role will be remote.
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with frontline managers and senior leaders to understand and execute the organization's HR strategy, focusing on areas such as HR compliance, performance management, and recruitment.
- Act as a key liaison between our leadership teams in the Philippines and the People Team of Kajabi.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of business needs and trends to drive the organization forward.
- Consult with leaders to navigate team member issues, providing guidance on the risks and benefits of various scenarios to support sound decision-making.
- Manage team member separations, including preparation, facilitation, and documentation.
- Proactively identify and mitigate litigation risks by ensuring strict compliance with labor standards.
- Address employee grievances and violations, leading disciplinary proceedings from issuing Notices to conducting Employee Disciplinary Meetings and finalizing Decisions.
- Participate in team member disciplinary meetings, off-boarding processes, and investigations.
- Respond to employee inquiries across all HR disciplines, including recruitment, benefits, payroll, and compensation.
- Collaborate with the People Operations Manager to develop and implement HR plans related to compensation, benefits, labor compliance, and health and safety.
- Maintain the P-team company handbook, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Identify root causes of issues, design solutions that span multiple disciplines, and implement them swiftly.
- Assess team and manager development needs, making recommendations and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Integrate with HR colleagues in Recruiting, Compensation & Benefits, Finance, and Legal to deliver comprehensive solutions that scale with the business.
- Organize and oversee company events and engagement activities, delegating responsibilities to ensure successful execution.
Attributes for Success
- years of progressive HR experience, with 3+ years in an HRBP role or equivalent.
- Demonstrated competence in various HR functional areas, including coaching, employee relations, compensation, performance management, and program management.
- A people-centric, "roll up your sleeves" work style.
- Self-starter with the ability to execute and drive change.
- Expertise in the Labor Code of the Philippines, particularly regarding work practices, disciplinary processes, and employee relations.
- An approachable, calm demeanor that reassures others while influencing decision-making and adapting to the organization's nuanced needs.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to navigate different points of view and establish credibility quickly.
