About the team


The SME & Growth Business team at Airwallex is a passionate group of collaborators and business champions dedicated to empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to thrive in the global economy. We combine deep financial expertise with a growth mindset, working closely with our clients to understand their unique needs and develop tailored solutions that streamline cross-border payments and unlock new revenue streams. What you’ll do


The Senior Channel Partnerships Manager, SME & Growth is a core member of the Canada Sales team, expanding Airwallex’s existing relationships across various verticals (including eCommerce, startups, and professional services) as well as building new partner relationships, helping to shape the future of our Channel Partner strategy across Canada. We are seeking a strategic, creative and data-driven leader who has successfully scaled Channel Partnerships in a comparable organization to drive the next phase of our growth.This role is based in Toronto, Canada.

Responsibilities:



  • You will shape our Channel Partnerships strategy and value proposition in Canada, building on your knowledge of the market and the success that we have had so far

  • You will be accountable for meeting our annual targets for new business

  • You will drive new partner acquisition, taking the lead personally where required

  • You will be accountable for managing our portfolio of channel partners, identifying and pursuing opportunities to grow the Airwallex customer base and up-sell to existing accounts

  • You will work with the North American Marketing team to define and execute against a Marketing strategy for channel partnerships, including relevant collateral and messaging

  • You will communicate the Airwallex value proposition to channel partners and their clients, as well as more broadly within the ecosystem (e.g., at events)

Who you are


We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications:



  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in Channel Sales in a high-growth, scale-up environment (SaaS, FinTech or equivalent)

  • You have a proven track record of hitting quota for demand generation and new business

  • Demonstrable network within relevant sectors (eComm, technology and SaaS, professional services such as accounting and incorporation services, and startup ecosystem)

  • Outstanding track record of professional and academic performance

Preferred qualifications:



  • Experience building channel partnerships within a fintech company
