Junior Incident Response Consultant

Then join Pondurance in ensuring every organization is ableto detect and respond to cyber threats – regardless of size, industry or current in-housecapabilities.As a Junior Incident Response Consultant, you will support forensic investigations alongside Principal, Senior, and standard Consultants within the Incident Response program. Your goal will be to assist stopping compromises through containment, eradication and data access forensic efforts.
You will leverage our tech stack and support our clients during incident response.Responsibilities:
- Support the Incident Response lifecycle from containment through reporting needs at the guidance of Principal and Senior consultants
- Perform forensic analysis of relevant datasets and convey findings to internal Pondurance team
- Identify indicators of malicious or unauthorized activities within forensic evidence
- Communicate forensic findings in an organized format to internal team
- Convey potential gaps in evidence to internal team
- Provide after-hours support, as needed per investigation
Technologies:
- MS Office
- Microsoft365
- Live Chatrooms for Team Communication such as Slack
- Command Line Interfaces (e.g. PowerShell, iTerm2, Terminals)
- Simple Scripting – e.g. Bash, Python, C++, Java
- Windows Operating Systems
Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience in related field
- Lifecycle of a Business Email Compromise
- Phishing Attacks
- Ability to Leverage Various Tools to Timeline Compromise
