Position Summary:
The Sr. HRIS Analyst will administer and develop the Human Resources Information System. The role is responsible for continual research, support, and configuration of the system to better support HR and business needs. This position also serves as a technical point-of-contact for Human Resources and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The Sr. HRIS Analyst supports HRIS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects, as assigned.
This position also serves as a liaison between HR/Payroll and the Accounting Team to ensure coding and GL reporting is accurate. This position reports to the Director of HR and is located in Houston, TX.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains integrity and accuracy of the HRIS database
- Reviews source documents for accuracy and completion of data input and verifies output
- Generates and distributes a variety of reports and statistical summaries
- Manages projects and process improvement, including applying change management experience to facilitate movement to new levels of quality
- Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of HRIS system upgrades or patches. Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Maintains HRIS system tables. Documents process and results
- Generates reports, including writing, maintaining and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data. Seeks efficiencies in reporting as much as possible.
- Monitors and audits system inbound and outbound files
- Analyzes labor trends and other ad hoc reporting based on industry and business needs
- Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Trains clients on new processes/functionality. Trains new system users
- Maintains awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies
- Works closely with Payroll and Accounting to ensure accurate reporting of data
- Assist with the strategic direction of HRIS application within Human Resources
- Other duties and projects, as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High school degree
- 10 years direct experience
- Legally authorized to work in the US on a regular full-time basis without restrictions
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, manage and prioritize assignments and exercise discretion and good judgement
- Ability to collaborate and provide excellent customer service
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to quickly identity problems, determine root cause, and recommend solutions
- 5 years experience with ADP Workforce now
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 7 years direct experience
- Experience in the energy industry
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments
- Listens actively for shared understanding
- Effectively communicates complex, technical topics to internal and external groups
- Builds strong relationships to encourage collaboration and quality customer service
