Shift Schedule:


0600 – 1800, Sunday – Tuesday and every other Wednesday

Position Summary:


The successful candidate will serve as the eyes and ears for our DoD Customer as a lead analyst.  The candidate will assist in prioritizing and aligning resources to best meet the mission of the Customer.  The candidate will be part of a team that provides 24x7x365 real time analyses of all events and incidents as they occur on the network.  The candidate will also serve as a team consultant to the lead analyst.The candidate will be called upon to serve as an action officer and should have knowledge of IT business processes.

 The candidate will use Event Management Tools, BMC Remedy, SharePoint, and service networking, servers, and application incident support.  The candidate will be expected to create Daily Turnover Logs entry in accordance with SOPs.

Clearance Requirement:  

Active DoD – Top Secret

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Monitor, detect, and take immediate action on events and incidents as they occur on the network based on operating procedures.
  • Identify problems and take appropriate actions based on operating procedures.
  • Create Formal Reports and assign work requests to the proper group based on operating procedures.
  • Collect and analyze events and incidents from multiple sources and correlating information between IT management tools based on operating procedures.
  • Advise the Customer lead on the best business process to use to achieve desired results based on operating procedures.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of on-demand Situation Reports as required.
  • Manage, track, and file any and all information that the Customer receives and produces.
  • Document all actions taken in order to resolve incidents on enterprise network.
  • Organize all Customer data based on team procedures.
  • File information quickly and easily to gain important information necessary for the customer to make decisions.
  • Provide Watch Team reports as needed.
  • Provide Executive level Watch Team briefings on behalf of the Customer.

Education and Certification Requirements:


  • 3 years related experience
  • DoD 8570 IAM I (CAP, GSLC, or Security+ CE)

Background and Experience:


At least 3 years of demonstrated experience working on operations staff, assisting the Watch Team Lead in gathering information, tracking incidents, and assisting with reports as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:


  • General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
  • Contractor site with 0-10% travel possible
  • Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages
  • 10 lbs. maximum lifting, occasional life/carry of small articles
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
  • Continually required to talk or hear
  • Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
