We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer who is passionate and thrives in a dynamic team environment with our Housing + Mixed-Use Market Sector. The ideal candidate is creative, energetic, technically skilled and has strong communication skills. In this job, you will work with a team to address the issues of our clients (style, budget, and schedule) and enjoy the challenge of working with sophisticated real estate developers.
About the Position
- Develops the projects’ vision design throughout space planning, code review, 3D visualization, and material selections through all project phases
- Design and production of interior technical drawings (in Revit) including plans, elevations, and details, millwork design & detailing
- Research, select and document fixtures and finishes
- FF&E material selections and specifications
- Communicates design intent, verbally, graphically and in writing to the internal design team as well clients, consultants and contractors
- Actively collaborates with and coordinates work of consultants to ensure the project deliverables are coordinated, integrated, and support the design concept
- Contributes to the preparation of design documents and detailed development of construction documents during all project phases
- Reviews shop drawings, material submittals and conducts periodic site visits during construction
- Comfortable in navigating project fees, budgets and schedules
About You
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- 10-15 years of experience designing multi-family, hospitality or senior living spaces
- NCIDQ certification is preferred
- Excellent design, graphic and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
- Experience interfacing with clients and collaborating with Architecture and consultant teams
- Proficiency with design and documentation software including Revit, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite. Enscape experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience in preparing construction documents and construction administration
- Possesses general knowledge of building codes and ADA guidelines as they relate to life safety and space planning
- Team player with a collaborative mindset
- Interest in creative Hospitality Interiors
- Ability to Commute: Baltimore, MD 21202 (Required)
- Work Location: Hybrid, In person 3 days a week (Required)
