Job Description
- Design the Li-On cells based on customer-driven performance needs, leveraging EnPower electrode technology.
- Fine tune electro-chemical and mechanical cell parameters to optimize performance cell products.
- Lead at least one (1) of the following: stack-level design and balancing, electrolyte design, cell mechanical design and tolerancing, formation and finishing.
- Engage in cell failure root cause analysis if required.
- Interface and work closely with cross-functional teams to solve/mitigate the problems from the cell level.
- Engage in responding to the customer requests by coordinating with the project managers.
- Establish and standardize baseline process conditions.
- Maintain compliance with all company protocols related to confidentiality, assignment of inventions, and other policies or duties as identified and assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- More than 5+ years of experience with cell design, including testing, data and failure mechanism analysis
- Experience with multi-Ah pouch cell or prismatic cell design is required
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Familiarity with data collection, statistical process control, process capability analysis, process failure mode effects analysis and quality management
- Familiarity with a subset of software/coding platforms to assist cell development, including but not limited to: Python, COMSOL (or other Multiphysics modeling platform), SolidWorks (or similar CAD software)
