Copper River Technologies is seeking a skilled
Maintenance Mechanic responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and installation of building systems, utilities, and equipment. The ideal candidate will be experienced in multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and industrial equipment mechanics. This position requires on-call duty on a rotational basis and the ability to respond to emergencies within two hours.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Electrical Work: Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, circuits, and equipment (e.g., lighting systems, distribution panels, alarm systems, and industrial circuits). Ensure compliance with National Electric Codes and safety standards.
- Industrial Equipment Maintenance: Install, align, troubleshoot, and repair industrial plant machinery such as air compressors and conveyor systems.
- Carpentry Work: Perform construction and repair tasks (e.g., framing, drywall installation, ceiling installation, and door/window modifications).
- Pipefitting and Plumbing: Install and repair piping systems for water, gas, and sewage. Perform routine plumbing maintenance on fixtures and appliances like toilets, showers, and water heaters.
- General Maintenance: Conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and make repairs to HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems as needed.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid state driver's license and CPR certification (required).
- Experience: Must possess journeyman-level knowledge in at least one of the following trades: Electrician, Plumber, Pipefitter, Industrial Mechanic, or Carpenter.
- Skills:
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical documents.
- Proficient in using hand tools and shop equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with safety codes and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and contractors.
Work Conditions:
- Moderate to heavy physical effort (lifting up to 40 lbs) and may require working in uncomfortable positions or conditions such as extreme temperatures, noise, and poor ventilation.
- On-call duties may require response to emergencies during off-hours.
- May be designated as Essential Personnel during emergencies, requiring availability before, during, and after events such as severe weather or security threats.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
- Frequent kneeling, climbing, and awkward postures.
- Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection is required.
