Full-timeDescriptionSenior Ignition Engineer designs, develops, and deploys complex SCADA systems for various industrial applications. Responsibilities include customizing and configuring Ignition software, developing user interfaces with Vision and Perspective, and managing production and backup environment installations. The role involves creating reports, configuring delivery methods, and scripting using the Ignition API.
- Design, develop, and deploy complex Ignition SCADA systems for various industrial applications
- Integrate Ignition systems with existing PLCs, HMIs, databases, and other industrial control systems
- Customize and configure Ignition software to meet specific project requirements, including developing custom scripts and templates
- Installation of production and backup environments
- Gateway and project configurations
- Vision and Perspective user interface development and configuration
- Developing reports and configuring delivery methods
- Developing scripts using the Ignition API
- Proven experience in designing and deploying SQL databases and developing stored procedures
- Customer SOW and technical specification evaluation and interpretation
- Travel as required
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience with Ignition platform components, including Vision, Perspective, SQL databases, and scripting (Python, Java), as well as Ignition Edge
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to diverse plant conditions
- Knowledge and experience with Rockwell PLC logic preferred
- Willingness to work “above and beyond” in order to meet company goals
- Well organized, detail oriented and self-motivated
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Must have excellent oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ignition Gold Certification (Inductive University)
- Familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) integration and IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) technologies
- Familiarity with Allen Bradley logic
