Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the overall operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient inventory management, accurate order fulfillment, and a safe working environment. This role involves leading and managing a team of warehouse personnel, implementing warehouse procedures, and coordinating with other departments to achieve operational goals. The Warehouse Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy, maximizing productivity, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to customers.

- Leads, motivates, and manages a team of warehouse personnel, including stock handlers, forklift operators, and other staff.
- Assigns tasks, set priorities, and monitor workload distribution to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Conducts performance evaluations, provides feedback, and addresses any performance issues.
- Fosters a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and open communication.
- Oversees all aspects of inventory management, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Implements and maintains inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy of stock levels.
- Conducts regular inventory audits and cycle counts to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Optimizes storage space utilization and implements strategies to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
- Ensures timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Monitors order processing from picking to packing to shipping, ensuring adherence to established procedures and quality standards.
- Coordinates with transportation providers to schedule and track shipments.
- Develops and implements warehouse procedures and workflows to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Ensures compliance with safety regulations and standards within the warehouse.
- Oversees the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
- Monitors and controls warehouse expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborates with other departments, such as purchasing, production, and customer service, to ensure smooth coordination and alignment of operations.
- Communicates effectively with suppliers, vendors, and transportation providers to maintain strong relationships and ensure timely delivery of materials and goods.
- Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.
Position Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred but not required.
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role, with demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of warehouse personnel.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and order fulfillment processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with employees, management, and external partners.
- Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, warehouse management systems, and inventory control software.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
