Job Summary:

The Manager of Digital Marketing at Mercer Advisors will be responsible for driving traffic, managing digital content, and uncovering user insights for the firm’s key acquisition website, MercerAdvisors.com.
Reporting to the Director of Product, Digital Marketing, this person must have experience with on-page, off-page and technical SEO with a proven record of driving organic traffic to websites. In addition, this person should have experience working in content management systems and creating, managing and publishing content. Finally, this person should be familiar with qualitative research methodologies with experience discovering meaningful and actionable insights from website visitors.If you call yourself a “webmaster” among friends, are passionate about user-centric designs driven by insights and enjoy seeing webpages climb to the #1 position on SERPs, all while thriving in a fast-paced and results-driven environment then this role could be the perfect fit for you!

Essential Job Functions:


SEO


  • Build, inform and execute the team’s SEO strategy and roadmap to improve the site’s visibility and organic discoverable
  • Collaborate with content creators to develop high-quality, engaging content that meets user needs and adheres to SEO best practices. Provide keyword research support daily.
  • Inform and execute a link building strategy to acquire more high-quality back links and improve onsite crosslinking.
  • Complete and enhance on-page SEO elements including title tags, meta descriptions, H1 tags, etc.
  • Distribute reports that measure the success and impact of SEO efforts by tracking traffic and ranking lifts for key pages across the site.
  • Have knowledge of technical SEO best practices and perform the necessary tests and updates to ensure the site is healthy and performing at its best.
  • Keep abreast of latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices

Website CMS Admin


  • Manage and oversee the content and functionality of the site via our site’s CMS, WordPress.
  • Create, edit and publish content on the site daily including text, images, videos, and/or full landing experiences to ensure the content is accurate, meeting goals, relevant and optimized for search engines.
  • Maintain the integrity of the website’s health and ensure it is running smoothly, collaborating with the development team as needed.
  • Work closely and collaborate with content creators, compliance, marketers, and leadership across the firm to make sure the website is aligned with brand standards, messaging expectations, and site objectives. Make updates and optimizations as needed.

Qualitative Program Manager


  • Coordinate requests across digital and performance marketing teams and lead qualitative research sessions via the platform, UserTesting.com.
  • Manage a backlog of session requests across the team, work with leadership to prioritize, and communicate backlogs and roadmaps to stakeholders. 
  • Propose research methodologies, define segments, and run tests via the platform by collaborating with the UserTesting.com team, when necessary.

Report and communicate results, share recommendations on next steps, and connect learnings when possible.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing, SEO, and/or website management.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the wealth management industry, including trends, regulations, and client needs.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Proficiency in analyzing website analytics and data to inform decisions.
  • User-Centric Mindset: Ability to extract and understand the needs, preference and behaviors of website visitors to inform optimizations and enhancements.
  • SEO Expertise: Proficient in the technical, analytical and creative skills needed to be successful and experience using SEO tools such as spyfu.com, ahrefs.com, Google Trends, etc.
  • Technical Acumen: Understanding of CMS stacks and technology used to build, manage and deliver content thru a CMS, including WordPress, WPEngine, web servers, plug-ins. etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deliverables.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor under all circumstances and possess executive presence with senior leaders across the organization.

Monday through Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM
