Basic Scope/Purpose: 


(The job’s primary purpose or contribution to the department or organization.)The mission of the FP&A (Financial Analysis & Planning) Director is to drive positive performance outcomes for the Financial Reporting and Business Analysis function for the group. The core function of the FP&A Director is to ensure the Company has accurate data and analytics to make the best decisions. The leader partners closely with key stakeholders to help translate business strategies and objectives into achievable financial outcomes.

The successful candidate will bring experiences developing and implementing effective processes and collaborating with business leaders to develop financial plans, monitor performance and provide insightful analysis in support of decision-making. We’ll look to their expertise leveraging financial planning, modeling & analysis to provide key insights that drive the company’s strategic decisions, financial forecasts, and operating plans. Must utilize advanced analytical and modeling skills able to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions.

  • Maintain and Promote Michelin/Fenner PRP Values and Behaviors at all times.
  • Lead the monthly/quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, Long-Range Plan development and all strategic and tactical business analysis and scenario planning for the organization.
  • Collaborate with commercial & operating teams and provide fact-based recommendations that support financial targets, improve profitability, operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop and cultivate a high-performing team - develop the team through active performance management and coaching
  • Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand ROI for projects involving Product Management, Sales and Marketing, etc
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
  • Lead the monthly/quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting and all strategic and tactical business analysis and scenario planning for the organization.
  • Partner with the CFO and Executive Leadership team in order to achieve strategic objectives by providing guidance and insight on proposed decisions.
  • Some business related travel required.

    Education and/or Relative Experience:  (The level of education and/or experience needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job.)

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with MBA is required.
    • Extensive financial systems and reporting experience
    • Proficiency in ERP sytems
    • Must have 7 to 10 years of experience in a FP&A position with at least 3 years in leadership role

    • Provide leadership, direction, and resources essential to maintain EHS policies, rules and work instructions as the fundamental priority in all operations
    • Actively participate in and support associate participation in EHS program activities
    • Provide timely and appropriate follow-up to recommendations made by associates
    • Review and revise policies, rules and work instructions to adapt to changing business needs
    • Set a good example by following EHS safe work practices, policies, rules, and work instructions Engage the workforce through safety contacts and floor walks that address housekeeping, safety inspections and safety observations
    • Ensure hazards, near miss, injuries, and unsafe acts and conditions are reported through the incident database
    • Reinforce safety margins through active participation in incident investigations, corrective actions managed shift changes, toolbox talks, pre-tasking, STOP WORK, and task scanning.
