Eligibility Requirements
- Our internship program is remote based; however, the intern must be in the United States.
- Must be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited college or university during the internship.
- GPA of 3.0 or above (based on a 4.0 scale)
- Available to work full time (40 hours/week) for the entire program (June 9th - August 29th).
- Required to undergo a pre-employment background check.
Working closely with the department, the Intern will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Design and execute software test plans for Somos products after deeply analyzing how users will use the product features.
- Perform functional system testing at both the software and hardware level.
- Create and execute tests and document your findings – results and issues in Incident Management ticketing systems like Jira, Zephyr Enterprise, etc.
- Document test processes (including workflow, data, screenshots, and errors) and generate reports.
- Create/update UI and API automated test using JavaScript and Python.
- Participate in the development of software applications using the latest technologies.

Qualifications & Skills
- Currently a junior or above pursuing a degree in software engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
- 1 to 2 years of related experience or course work.
- Ability to participate and collaborate in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience in version control system like git, bitbucket.
- Proficiency in writing code in JavaScript and Python.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Experience developing Web-based software applications using React Native or equivalent.
- Test framework experience such as Cucumber, Robot Framework etc.
