Job Summary


Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role is responsible for providing Tier 2 level services to the Employee Services team.  Reviews written and final corrective actions, writes and presents reports to appropriate parties. Assists in the implementation of policies in the field. Provide counsel and consultations to supervisors, managers and employees regarding Employee Relations concerns. 

Duties and Responsibilities 


  • Provides a range of professional Employee Relations activities including but not limited to employee consulting, counsel and complaint investigation.
  • Provides advice and counsel to frontline supervisors and managers regarding Employee Relations issues.
  • Partners with the Director of HR regarding the Performance Management process and implementation.
  • Serves as a point of escalation for the Employee Services team in addressing Tier 2and Tier 3 issues.
  • Provide support to frontline and middle managers by reviewing and revising written corrective actions.
  • Partners with the Director of HR to review requests for termination.
  • Conducts exit interviews with frontline/middle managers and employees; reports findings to the Director of Human Resources, Recruitment and Employee Relations; Track trends from exit interviews.
  • Writes comprehensive, factual reports of findings resulting from assigned investigations for use in decision-making.
  • Administers surveys to determine Employee Engagement and analyze findings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree required or 1+ years’ experience in conducting investigations, Employee Relations or Human Resources
  • Prior experience in cannabis or another highly regulated industry, preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication to interact and engage with associates across multiple locations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; detail-oriented and able to deliver quality work on deadlines.
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills and able to learn new systems; experience with G-Suite preferred.
  • Ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and/or inaccurate information.
  • Ability to travel as required to complete job responsibilities.

Working Conditions


This job operates in a professional environment and requires working in the field at established or future retail and production/manufacturing sites, as well as a corporate office environment.

  • Minimal travel, inclusive of overnight stays, air travel, and driving, up to 10%.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and acquire applicable credentials in states where required to access company facilities.

Physicals Requirements


  • Long periods of standing or sitting may be required. Lifting of packages up to 15 pounds may be required.
